Film Screening - “Jenin, Jenin” in Bangor
The Maine chapter of Party for Socialism and Liberation will be hosting a free public film screening of Jenin, Jenin.
Jenin, Jenin is a famous documentary that uncovers the heinous actions of the Israeli military's operation in the Jenin refugee camp during the 2002 Israeli invasion of the West Bank. With Israel barring entry for journalists and human rights organizations to the refugee camp, the documentary features interviews with residents that illustrate the emotional toll and destruction faced by Palestinians. Despite oppressive conditions, this film also portrays their courage and hope for a brighter future as well as Palestinian liberation.
