JVPB’s February Chapter Gathering: DECOLONIZING TU B’SHVAT!

Tu B’Shvat celebrates the New Year for the Trees, when the sap begins to rise, and we reflect on renewal, and the growth that is to come. At this Tu B’Shvat seder, we will root in Kabbalistic practices as we enjoy the fruits of the trees and the gifts they offer. We will learn about efforts in Palestine, and in MA, to document and repair the damage that settler colonialism has wrought, and offer opportunities to take meaningful action.

COVID precautions: Masking required except while eating.

Mobility accessibility: The venue where we will be meeting has no stairs; the bathrooms are fully accessible (no stairs).

Interpretation: Please let us know if you need ASL or any other kind of interpretation as soon as possible so we can try to meet that need.

Risk level: We do not anticipate that there will be counter protestors or disruptors outside or inside the event but are prepared.

Transportation: There is a T stop a few blocks away and a bus stop directly in front of the venue. There is street parking near the venue. Details will be sent when we send the address of the event.
