WEBINAR: The Gaza Ceasefire and the Road Ahead

This webinar will share highlights of new resources on Israel-Palestine, including a backgrounder, “Seeking Justice, Peace, and Equality in Israel-Palestine: After October 7th and in the Shadow of the Gaza Catastrophe,” and an accompanying Examen for reflection. Topics discussed will include the situation on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank, the role of international law and U.S. policy, and the application of Catholic Social Teaching to Israel-Palestine. It will also discuss the recent fragile Gaza cease-fire and the need for a comprehensive political solution in the Holy Land.

Presenter Bio: Julie Schumacher Cohen, a Catholic and daughter of an Israeli, has long been involved with Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts, formerly as Deputy Director of Churches for Middle East Peace. She currently serves The University of Scranton as Asst. Vice President for Community Engagement and Government Affairs and is completing a Ph.D. in Political Science at Temple University.
