Join disabled Somerville residents and allies Thursday, July 11 at 4:30pm to let the mayor know disability justice is Palestinian justice! We will be attending Somerville’s yearly Disability Pride flag raising to demonstrate and let the mayor know that Palestinian liberation is tied to disability liberation.

After the flag raising, we will be gathering near the steps of city hall to regroup and chant together. We will have fliers with information on the impact of the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the value of Palestinian life, including disabled Palestinians.

For this event, we will be focusing on visibility and education and reminding the mayor of our demands for her to call for a permanent ceasefire, make a public statement condemning violence against Palestinians, Muslims, and Arabs in Somerville and beyond, and to boycott companies arming Israeli occupation and apartheid. Please wear a mask, will have extras!
