Together with a few other movement friends from across the country, I’m co-hosting an urgent virtual power hour on Thursday, October 19 from 3-4 pm EST to call for a ceasefire and an immediate end to the bloodshed and violence in Gaza.

Representatives Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Andre Carson, Summer Lee, and Delia Ramirez are leading the push in Congress to call on President Biden to immediately demand and facilitate a ceasefire. Reps. Bush, Tlaib, Carson, Lee, Ramirez Lead Colleagues in Call for Immediate Ceasefire (house.gov) Every minute that passes is another moment lost for Palestinian lives - and we must do everything in our power to act.

This is a low-stakes way that you can help, and we already have scripts and talking points from organizations. All you have to do is show up and we will have speakers to tell you about the situation and to guide you through ways to take action live. JVP has been hosting power hours at the same time and we're trying to reach as many audiences as possible!!

Join us on Zoom at 3 pm EST and we can make calls to Congress together. If you’re engaging with Congress for the first time, it can be daunting - we’re here to help! We’ll be on to answer any questions you may run into.
