Wednesday, October 11, 8:00 PM EDT

Reconstructionists Expanding the Conversation on Israel-Palestine Reconstructionists Expanding Our Conversation - Congregation Shaarei Shamayim will host renowned human rights lawyer and activist Jonathan Kuttab, speaking on “A Vision of Justice and Equality for All in Israel/Palestine.”

In response to the current crisis, we have added a 30-minute moderated discussion of the current situation in Israel/Palestine. If you would like to join our online discussion group, please email Seth Horwitz at reachseth@gmail.com and type “Subscribe to Recon I-P listserve” in the subject line."

A native of Bethlehem, Kuttab received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. Kuttab is a cofounder of Al-Haq, the premier human rights organization in Palestine, and Nonviolence International, which seeks to realize the worth and dignity of all people through the nonviolent resolution of conflicts around the globe. He is also executive director of FOSNA, a theological movement for Palestinian liberation that opposes Christian Zionism. Kuttab’s book, Beyond the Two-State Solution (2021), (available free of charge online), offers a fresh and detailed vision for a binational state.
