On March 23rd, Israel held its 4th elections in 2 years, with as yet uncertain results.
And after nearly 15 years without elections, Palestinian elections are scheduled to finally take place later this summer.
OFIP will interview Diana Buttu about what she sees as the possible outcomes and implications of these events for both Palestinians and Israelis. Diana is particularly well placed to do so as she lives in Ramallah, and has served in the past as an advisor to the PLO negotiation unit. We will also ask her, as a Canadian, about Canadian policy and practice with respect to human rights for Palestinians.
Ms. Buttu will be interviewed by OFIP Chair Peter Larson and Tom Woodley, President of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME).
