Uri Agnon
– a 25 year–old Jerusalem-based activist, composer and writer.
In 2008, he refused to enlist in the IDF. His work is primarily focused on the mobilization of Israelis to attend protests lead by Palestinians in East Jerusalem, and specifically around issues such as house demolitions, Israeli settlements, collective punishment and discrimination.
Uri is also active in the campaign for public housing, and is a part of a support network for refuseniks and draft avoiders. He is a composer of music for fringe theater and dance, and takes part in Samba drumming circles at demonstrations throughout Israel-Palestine.
