Hear presentations (followed by Q&A) from Jewish civil rights volunteers active in the South in the 1960s and in Israel/Palestine today. They will discuss how Judaism inspired and informed their Civil Rights-era work and how Southern Jewish communities reacted to such work.

In recent years, these activists have been vocal about their opinions on Israel/Palestine, participating in progressive groups such as The New Jewish Agenda and Jews Say No. Activists will make connections between their work in the Jim Crow South and in Israel/Palestine today.
