Fridays @ 12:00 PM EDT
Join us for AFSC’s weekly Action Hour for a Cease-fire Now. Every Friday, we’ll get the latest updates from AFSC staff in Gaza and take action to end the violence. Together, we'll make calls to the White House and Congress, write letters, and talk about how to use our collective voice to call for peace.
For the months of June, July, August (and now also September) we are on summer hours! First Fridays (July 5th, August 2nd & Sept 6) will be one hour with guests. All other Fridays will be 30 minutes with time for updates from Gaza, calling Congress, and event announcements.
Welcome to September! This Friday, we’ll have the honor of being joined by Ahmed Nehad, who will speak with Yousef about the state of education in Gaza. Until then, check out our restyled meeting agenda and Action Hour landing page for more useful information for your activism. The “closing” section in the agenda has all the fantastic resources and events shared at the end of our calls. Don’t forget you can call Congress every day, not just on Fridays!
A sincere thank you to everybody who is still calling, emailing, and out in the streets nearly 10 months into this horrific genocide. Our Friday community is giving me hope.

Artist Corner - On Friday, we featured The Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, which is built around the ambitious vision of having a lively and creative musical culture in every Palestinian home. There are six branches of the conservatory, one in Gaza and five in the occupied West Bank. Over a thousand students study in the conservatory.
