Strike Launch: People's Hunger Strike Maine
Palestinians are calling for an international hunger strike in solidarity with the people of Gaza and to escalate political pressure to end the genocide. We must act NOW - before it’s too late.
We, healthcare workers, healthcare organizations and community members based in Maine, are joining The People’s Hunger Strike with our colleagues and allies in Boston, MA for 30 days, beginning Thursday, September 4, 2025.
We are part of a growing movement of fasters and hunger strikers in cities and campuses across the country and around the world including 38 Mainers who joined a 40-day strike organized by Veterans for Peace and their allies last June.
