A Community Conversation with Ta-Nehisi Coates

Ta-Nehisi Coates is an award-winning author and journalist. His books include Between The World and Me and The Water Dancer. He is currently a writer-in-residence at Howard University.

Walter Johnson is an American historian who has written extensively on the U.S. slavery era and its aftermath. He is a professor of History and of African and African-American Studies at Harvard University, where he previously directed the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History.
