UUJME Webinar: Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Mazin Qumsiyeh on Palestine and Sustainable Agriculture

What is happening to protect farmland and sustainable agriculture during the current genocide? What is imagined for a free future? Professor Qumsiyeh is a Palestinian scientist, author, and educator with an extensive background in biology and medical genetics. He has published over 150 scientific papers and several books on topics ranging from cultural heritage to biodiversity. His commitment to nonviolent resistance and environmental sustainability has been instrumental in advancing peace and education in Palestine.

UUJME was proud to organize a speaking tour for Mazin in 2017, in which more than $20,000 was raised for the Palestine Museum of Natural History. He visited seven cities and spoke at multiple venues including a UU Ministry for Earth panel at the UUA General Assembly in New Orleans. Read about Dr. Qumsiyeh here.
