Lulu Matute is the Organizing Coordinator for the School of the Americas Watch (SOAW), a U.S.-based interfaith organization working to end war and militarization through education, advocacy, and nonviolent resistance. She organizes public events, delegations, and educational campaigns—bringing together lawmakers, activists, scholars, artists, and grassroots organizers to challenge U.S. policies that fuel militarization, extraction, and forced displacement across Latin America.

Her work exposes how these policies criminalize migrants and expand harmful security agendas across the region.
