DEADLINE TO REGISTER AUGUST 18 - Wednesday, August 20, 6-9pm: Nonviolent Direct Action Training
The NH Council of Churches invites you to a three-hour training in non-violent direct action (NVDA) on August 20th, led by Maggie Fogarty, Executive Director of American Friends Service Committee. NVDA is more than protest—it’s a disciplined, grounded approach to confronting injustice through strategic action, moral clarity, and public witness. As threats to due process, the rule of law, and our ever-striving, fragile democracy grow more urgent, this training offers tools to respond with courage and conviction. Rooted in Jesus’ rebuke that we must not “neglect justice and the love of God” (Luke 11:42), people of all faiths and those who are secular are welcome to join us in preparing for this marathon of love-fueled resistance.
Non-violent direct action does not necessarily mean one is risking arrest, come learn about this amazing tool to hold public officials accountable to the interests of the citizens they serve!
Pre-registration by August 18th is required and spaces are limited, please email lisa@nhchurches.org to register.
