July 10, 11:00 AM EDT - Zoom
History as Warning: A Conversation with Raz Segal
Join Tech for Palestine and Entrepreneurs for Palestine for a timely and urgent conversation with Raz Segal, Associate Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies and Endowed Professor in the Study of Modern Genocide at Stockton University.
In this live Zoom event, Dr. Segal will speak and then participate in an open Q&A. He will draw from the field of genocide scholarship to help us understand how the frameworks developed to study the Holocaust and other mass atrocities can help clarify and confront present-day state violence.
Hosted by members of the Entrepreneurs for Palestine and Tech for Palestine communities, this event is intended for technologists, founders, educators, and all those seeking a deeper understanding of how history is used, and often misused, in shaping political narratives today.
Dr. Segal’s writing and public commentary have gained international attention for applying the legal and historical concept of genocide to contemporary events in Israel and Gaza. His work interrogates state narratives, draws on deep comparative study, and argues for moral and intellectual clarity in moments of crisis.
