FUCK THE FOURTH: As the nation celebrates its independence, displacing the memory and reality of its status as a settler colony, we must reaffirm our collective commitment to fighting for Palestinian liberation and against U.S. fascism and imperialism.

New York, following the defeat of a Zionist mayoral candidate backed by the billionaire class, has shaken the political establishment and shown the world that the language of Palestinian liberation cannot be excised from U.S. political discourse, despite the best efforts of Super PAC’s and legacy papers like the New York Times. Can we place our trust in a system designed to fail us? As Los Angeles demonstrates an unbreakable level of anti-ICE resistance, reclaiming the streets to defend community members against the administration's draconian measures to tear immigrant families apart, how do we grow our movement against fascism on a national scale?

At WAWOG’s July 5th town hall and fundraiser for Palestine, we will gather for a full day of political education, discussion, and readings from the forthcoming New York War Crimes that will sharpen our analyses, hone our strategies and tactics, and strengthen our resolve.

Our programming includes panel discussions on Palestinian refugee camps as sites of resistance, and the connections between speculative real estate in NYC and land theft in Palestine. Teach-ins and workshops address digital security, community defense, and more. Food and coffee will be available for purchase.
