Palestinian children continue to face grave violations of their rights. Every year, 500–700 children are detained and prosecuted in Israeli military courts that lack fundamental safeguards for a fair trial. The use of administrative detention—imprisonment without charge or trial—has quadrupled in the past year alone, leaving children in indefinite, traumatic conditions with no legal clarity or emotional relief.

This side event marks the launch of the Roadmap for Action 2025–2030, building on the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty and the outcomes of the 2024 Global Conference. It aims to move from recognition to real, systemic change.
