🫂 Solidarity Shabbat
Looking for an alternative to celebrating the current fascist state of America this July 4th ?
Join JVP Boston for an anti-zionist anti-imperalist art build, Shabbat ritual and potluck meal before sundown when some JVP members will begin a 24hr solidarity fast.
We'll also be collecting donations of non-perishable goods for local mutual aid groups, Warm up Boston and the community fridges. Please see this link for a list of most requested items. (you do not need to buy from amazon, but if you do it will be mailed directly to the organization. Otherwise please bring all donations with you to the 7/4 event).
What: Art build, food drive, potluck, and ritual

When: Art build & meal from 5 - 7:30 PM; Ritual & closing 7:30 - 9 PM - come and go as you please!
Who: All Faiths and all ages welcome!
Why: For three months, the Israeli government has blocked almost all aid into Gaza, starving the over two million Palestinians trapped there. To learn more, read JVP's The Wire “Aid distribution has become a death trap”
As Jews, we say stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians — Stop Starving Gaza. Stop the flow of weapons and funding to the Israeli military!

Accessibility: Backyard is outdoors and a single level, there will be chairs available and feel free to bring your own. 5 steps to reach indoor bathroom.
COVID - 19 Precautions: Attendees are asked to take a rapid covid test the day of the event, and wear a mask if going indoors to use the bathroom. Masks and Rapid tests will be available. Please stay home if you are not feeling well.
