Join PYM DMV as we mobilize at the Embassy of Egypt to confront its complicity in the mass starvation in Gaza. We demand that the Egyptian and other Arab governments stop their submissive cooperation with the US and Israeli effort to starve the people of Gaza. We demand that Arab governments stand alongside Gaza to confront the deadly siege and immediately allow unconditional, demilitarized, and adequate aid into Gaza.
Throughout 22 months of genocide, humanitarian organizations have warned that Israel’s siege on Gaza will wreak a man-made famine. Israel has hardly made an effort to conceal that this is the point, and is part of its plan to ethnically cleanse the Gaza Strip. The people will not be fooled by the murderous Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, the farce of air drops, or the occasional trickle of trucks getting through.
Israel’s genocidal designs are no secret to us, but we must also reject Egypt’s complacency as hundreds of trucks full of crucial food, water, and medical supplies lie waiting at its border with Gaza. We call on Egypt to open the border and let the life-saving aid in, rather than allow Israel to dictate what it does with its own border. The Arab people are one, and every day that Egypt capitulates to the Zionist scheme is another day of betrayal.
