About this event
Event lasts 5 hours
Native voices will unite in a powerful celebration of Indigenous land stewardship when the Pocasset Pokanoket Land Trust and Wainer Woods present "Native Voices of the Land" at Weatherlow Farms in Westport, MA on Saturday, June 7. This landmark event features the acclaimed Eastern Medicine Singers, a panel of tribal leaders discussing land reclamation strategies, and the world premiere of Brooklyn Demme's documentary "Diligence." Attendees will experience meaningful cultural exchange through a Native seed swap and networking opportunities while supporting Wainer Woods—a 50-acre farm being revitalized as a Native community center by Chief Two Running Elk, descendant of Paul Cuffe. Tickets are $15 in advance at PocassetLandTrust.org/events or $20 at the door for this extraordinary afternoon where ancient wisdom meets modern conservation.
