June 5, 2025, 2pm (livestream & address at link): The House Committee on Foreign Affairs will hold a hearing entitled, After Assad: The Future of Syria. Scheduled witnesses are: David Schenker, WINEP; Anna Borschevskaya, WINEP; and Jon Alterman, CSIS.

June 5, 2025, 10:30am (in person only at S-116, 423 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, DC: The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a Business Meeting to markup a number of measures, including S. Res. 227, “A resolution condemning Hamas for its premeditated, coordinated, and brutal terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023, against Israel and demanding that Hamas immediately release all remaining hostages and return them to safety, and for other purposes.”
