6/4 (in person, NYC) 7:30pm - Community Reading of the New York War Crimes Nakba Day Edition (WAWOG)

Date: Wednesday, June 4th, at 7:30pm Address: Mushtari Cafe, 34 W 126th St, New York. *PLEASE NOTE: Entrance is on the 126TH STREET SIDE, not the usual entrance on 125th.

HARLEM—Join us this Wednesday, June 4th at 7:30pm for a reading of The Nakba Day Edition of the New York War Crimes. Published in collaboration with Palestinian Youth Movement, this issue marks the 77th year of the ongoing Nakba and its mass dispossession. Each page also honors the more than 77 years of Palestinian resistance to zionist atrocity and settler colonial violence across material, ideological, and imaginative fronts.

We will be reading oral histories from eyewitnesses of the Nakba of 1948, dispatches from youth resistance in refugee camps in Lebanon, a newly translated excerpt from Walid Daqqa’s “Control Through Time,” and a dispatch from Palestinian Youth Movement reflecting on sumud, or steadfastness, and dismantling the Iron Wall of zionist propaganda.
