6/30 (Zoom) 7pm - Peace & Justice Conversations: U.S. Policy in Iran and Yemen (NH Peace Action)

Monday, June 30, 7pm Eastern: Peace & Justice Conversations: U.S. Policy in Iran and Yemen

Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Representatives Khanna (D-CA) and Massie (R-KY) introduced War Powers Resolutions in the Senate and House, respectively, to prevent further U.S. involvement in Israel’s war with Iran. War Powers Resolutions are privileged, meaning members of Congress can fast track their bills for a debate and a vote by the full legislative body. Members of Congress must go on record with where they stand: against an unconscionable, illegal war that will lead to the deaths of more civilians, or in favor of unconditional military support to a government that continues to violate both U.S. and international human rights law..

Join a conversation with Isaac Evans-Frantz to learn more about war powers resolutions, how activists used these to help stop Saudi/U.S. bombing of Yemen, and how people in New Hampshire can take action to stop further U.S. participation in Israel's war with Iran.
