6/24 (Online) 8am - Honoring the Past, Advancing Disarmament, and Building a Peaceful Future (Pax Christi International)

June 24, 8:00 AM EDT - Online

Honouring the Past, Advancing Disarmament, and Building a Peaceful Future

by Pax Christi International

On June 24th, join us for an international webinar marking 80 years since the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: a time to remember, to reflect on our shared moral responsibility, and to renew our commitment to building a more just, peaceful, and nuclear-free world.

This webinar brings together voices from across the Pax Christi movement (Pax Christi Korea, Pax Christi USAPax Christi Italia, Pax Christi Scotland) and our partners in the wider peace and disarmament community. Through testimonies, reflections, and shared witness, we will explore the enduring impact of nuclear weapons and the urgent call to disarmament grounded in nonviolence and human dignity.

We are particularly pleased to welcome contributions from the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), whose leadership and advocacy have been instrumental in advancing the cause of nuclear abolition and energising civil society around the world.

Join us in marking this anniversary with reflection, shared witness, and a renewed commitment to peace and disarmament.
