Nurturing Sumud in a Time of Genocide

Join us for a discussion with Ziad Abbas, executive director of the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA). Ziad will discuss the material impact of the food blockade and genocide in Gaza, the mounting crisis aid workers face, and ways we can continue to nurture the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

Ziad Abbas is a Palestinian refugee from Dheisheh Refugee camp in the West Bank where he was a cofounder and co-director of the Ibdaa Cultural Center. Ziad is also a journalist and holds a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Intercultural Relations from the School for International Training Graduate Institute.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
