Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace Friday Forum: Building friendships from Iran to the rest of the world

Elhan Valipay and Nuri Ronaghy will speak on their recent visit to Iran where there is a Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) branch forming for the purpose of building ties of friendship and understanding, and to reduce the possibility of war.

Nuri Ronaghy is a longtime activist, founder of US Department of Peace, and Iranian Women for Peace and Freedom in Iran, and the US/Russia friendship committee.

Elhan “Ely” Valipay is a retired architect and graduate of Columbia University, and is a co-founder of Iranian Women for Peace and Freedom in Iran. Ely is also a social media activist for the Farsi podcast “Fellow Countrymen in the Shadows” (هموطن در سایه), where interviews with distinguished Iranians abroad are conducted and posted among 20k followers on various social media platforms.

Here’s how to join the online meeting:
