TONIGHT Support BDS in Wakefield 7-10pm!
WHEN: Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at 7:00PM until the meeting ends (probably 7-10pm)

WHERE: In-person only at the Galvin Middle School, 525 Main St, Wakefield, MA

WHAT: expected VOTE on Article 19 on the 2025 Annual Wakefield Town Meeting warrant, which would enact a bylaw (Town Meeting Action) summarized as a "Prohibition Against Using Town Resources to Enable Violations of Human Rights and International Law by Israel."

WHO: only registered voters of the Town of Wakefield, MA can vote -- this is who we need to turn out in order to win a simple majority and pass this Article. However, "non-voters and minors" are eligible to participate in debate.

WHY: to do what the Town of Wakefield can do to act in solidarity with the Palestinian BDS movement, to help Palestinians secure their human rights, and to hold Israel and the US accountable to international law.
