Democracy has always been about the power of the people. It’s we, the people, who will fight the fight for a more just and equitable society.

This is the work– not of kings– but by all of us and for all of us. We’re the ones who have to travel the distance.

And this is why, at this critical juncture in our history - when the laws and institutions protecting our right to fight are under attack like never before - we have decided to take a very long walk.

Our walk – a 120-mile journey from Philly, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC - will take us through towns, into cities, and along the trails of the East Coast Greenway, and we hope that it will look like the world we want to see: friendly and civil. Open to the joys of human variation, the friendliness of flexible minds, and also street dancing. This is a big, long mission; a walk/march, inspired by the big, hopeful, goodness-based, law-governed dream that is American democracy. We hope you’ll consider joining us - for a mile, a city limit, the whole journey.
