5/29 (in person, NYC) 12pm - Rally for Yunseo Chung - a legal, permanent US resident facing deportation by the Trump admin for pro-Palestine advocacy

🚨 RALLY FOR YUNSEO CHUNG 🚨

On May 29, the Southern District of NY district court will hold a hearing in Yunseo’s case to consider whether to issue an order that she should not be detained while her federal litigation case is ongoing.

Yunseo Chung is a student at Columbia University being targeted by the Trump administration for pro-Palestine speech. ICE and the White House are attempting to deport Yunseo without presenting any evidence against her. Yunseo immigrated to the US when she was 7, and is a permanent resident with a green card.

Yunseo has not yet been detained by ICE. In March, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order protecting Yunseo from arrest. The upcoming hearing will determine whether Yunseo remains free.

For people in the NYC tri-state area, join us as we rally outside the courthouse on May 29 at 12:00 PM: Foley Square, New York, NY 10013.

Bring signs, drums, and keffiyehs with you and get ready to hold the square in support of Yunseo, all our targeted students, and Palestinian liberation!
