Eyes on ICE Vigil @ Delaney Hall

Veterans are among those that ICE targets for detention and deportation.

@amvetshq estimates that as many as 94,000 US veterans have been deported since 1996. This is the year that the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act was passed which made detention mandatory for low level offenses.

Organizations like @unified_us_deported_veterans work full time to bring deported vets home. Other veterans organizations like @veteransforpeace and @theamericanlegion devote resources to returning deported US veterans.

While some will be gathering with family and remembering those who died in war and honoring veterans, others will be visiting their loved ones locked in Delaney Hall. Join us as we continue to sit vigil outside.
