📣📣Mark your calendars! CUNY Sanctuary and Popular University Assembly - This Friday!

On May 8, CUNY & NYPD forces brutalized peaceful protestors at the Hassan Ayyad Liberation Zone at Brooklyn College — arresting at least 10 and sending others to the ER. Just two weeks earlier, they raided the Hilmi Al-Faqaawi Liberated Zone at CCNY. In both cases, CUNY called in the NYPD to violently suppress students, faculty, and community members standing for Palestinian liberation and against genocide.

These attacks are part of a broader pattern of repression — a university investing in policing, surveillance, and war while divesting from student support, worker protections, and community care.

But while our university is counting on our movement dying down as summer approaches, we are only getting bolder.

Join us as we build toward a sanctuary and popular university — one that serves the needs of the most vulnerable and oppressed among us: Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, Black, Brown, undocumented, migrant, trans, queer, precarious students and workers.
