Understanding & Resisting Project Esther: How We Can Fight Back Against Trump's Repression
by IfNotNow
Many of us are feeling scared and angry about the Trump administration’s escalating attacks on immigrants and civil liberties. At the same time, Trump and his allies on the far right are weaponizing Jewish fears to justify these attacks–all while perpetuating antisemitism themselves. This illegal reign of terror is part of a strategy known as Project Esther, which was developed by the Heritage Foundation–the same people who wrote Project 2025. In order to resist Trump and his authoritarian agenda, we need to understand it.
Join IfNotNow Boston on April 24th evening for a workshop on Project Esther, where we will delve deep into the strategy behind it and learn how to identify that strategy when we see it in action. We will also be discussing how we can build solidarity with other communities that are deeply impacted by the Trump administration’s racist and xenophobic immigration crackdown.
April 24th marks Yom HaShoah as well. The targeting of trans people, undocumented immigrants, and students speaking up for Palestine is an eerie reminder of the way the Nazi regime targeted Jews, Queer people, Roma, Sinti, people with disabilities, and political dissidents. Never again is now; our history and values show us what we need to do. We hope you’ll join us.
