We welcome back former and now present VFP Executive Director Michael McPhearson. Michael will make remarks about his vision, then we will transition to strategic concerns.
We wish also to return to the formulation of Peace At Home, Peace Abroad (PAH-PA), and discuss what it means for our work.
As VFP Board member Gerry Condon recently stated, Who will capture this widespread protest and discontent -Democrats or the antiwar, anti-genocide, anti-imperialist movement?
It depends on which organizations and coalitions emerge to provide ongoing inspiration and organizational leadership. Veterans For Peace, with chapters in over 100 cities, can play a significant role, in conjunction with other key forces. This should be our goal.
Bring your ideas to the zoom discussion on April 23rd at 7:30pm EST. Think 'big picture' and major projects, including fund-raising, so that Veterans For Peace can secure another generation of members!
