Commemorating Palestinian Prisoners Day, Makan will be holding an online mini lecture, ‘The cage and the spoon: Imprisonment & prisoners’ resistance in Palestine’ . This session will:

Situate imprisonment as a settler colonial tool of control and subordination

Provide an overview of imprisonment across historic Palestine from the early 20th century to today

Centre the efforts of Palestinian prisoners and wider civil society who are resisting these conditions

Join us to learn more about imprisonment in Palestine on Palestinian Prisoners Day.

The session will include a 40 minute talk and a short Q&A.
