DANCE DANCE FOR LIBERATION: Community Teach-In on Organizing and PACBI with Dancers for Palestine

FREE EVENT!

There will be tea and cookies! Members of the Dancers for Palestine Lead Organizing Team will share our organizing strategy, successes and challenges in organizing the dance field, and the role of arts and culture in the movement for Palestinian Liberation. We will talk about our attempts to move the dance field into more significant, material solidarity with Palestine through the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI).

We will address the dance field’s specific histories and dynamics when it comes to organizing, as well as what dance can teach us about organizing within any discipline or community. We’ll answer questions and brainstorm with attendees about their specific struggles and curiosities, including Philadelphia-specific organizing tactics and potential targets for PACBI campaigns.
