Minds Under Siege Part 2: Weaponizing Trauma for War
We must now ask this: What if full-blown fascism is not the monster at the door, but the monster inside the house, the monster inside us — even we whose ancestors have been victims of genocide?
— Naomi Klein
Join journalist Naomi Klein and trauma expert Dr. Gabor Maté as they continue their conversation from Minds Under Siege: Part 1, where they explored the intersections of collective trauma, political power, and memory.
Leveraging Naomi’s analysis of how Jewish trauma has been weaponized and Gabor’s deep understanding of trauma’s psychological impact, we will examine how media narratives and political rhetoric has misused fear and trauma to gain public support for Israel’s military and political crimes.
