Join the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Boston to celebrate Women's History Month and the Noble Peace Prize-winning women who founded the organization: Jane Addams and Emily Greene Balch, a Jamaica Plain resident.
Speakers for the event include Catia Confortini, Professor of Peace & Justice Studies at Wellesley College, who will discuss "Race and Imperialism in the work of Emily Greene Balch" and Gloria McMillan, videographer and editor, who will discuss "Slavic Field Studies: Addams's Hull House and Balch's Travel Report."
