Join the Palestinian Youth Movement for a film screening of “Gaza Fights for Freedom” on Saturday, March 29th, in advance of our mobilization for Land Day on March 30th, followed by a Q&A with film director Abby Martin, a journalist who collaborated with a heroic team of Palestinian videographers in Gaza to produce the film.

“Gaza Fights for Freedom” was filmed during the height of the Great March Of Return protests, it features exclusive footage of demonstrations where 200 unarmed civilians have been killed by Israeli snipers since March 30, 2018. The Great March of Return was a series of weekly Friday protests where Palestinian refugees marched peacefully towards the fence bordering Israel in an attempt to return to their pre-1948 homes. It was the first time that a mass, popular protest included participation from all political factions and ideological currents within Gaza. In response, Israel murdered 214 Palestinians, among them 46 children, and injured more than 36,100 people. Amidst the genocide, the Great March of Return remains an important reminder of the collective power of the Palestinian people in mobilizing towards their freedom.
