Digital Security for Activists on the Go

by 18 Million Rising -18MR – Organizing Asian America

You may have seen recent news reports featuring everyone from German tourists to Canadian visa-holders to Palestinian activists with green cards getting stopped, harassed, and detained while at US border crossings or in their own communities (1,2). It’s alarming!

Whether you've driving from your home to the local coffee shop, entering the TSA line at the airport, and heading to a protest, join us to learn tips and tools to prepare your devices before travel and protect your digital security while on the go.

RSVP to Digital Security for Activists on the Go this Thursday, March 27.

We’ve teamed up with digital security experts, Tiny Gigantic, to bring you a new 1.5 hr training that will cover best practices to protect your devices, data, and communications when traveling in your community or out of town.

This training will also feature a Know Your Rights legal presentation by guest speaker, Jake Snow, Technology and Civil Liberties Attorney at the ACLU of Northern California.

Together, we'll discuss high tech threats and safety planning, and practice exercising our rights in scenarios such as border crossing and other in-person encounters with law enforcement.

This training is for activists, organizers, and anyone who is part of a targeted community and at risk of harassment.

Worried about crossing the border and TSA? Worried about encounters with law enforcement? Join us for our new training, Digital Security for Activists on the Go!

Live captioning provided. This training will be recorded and shared with those who register.
