On Irish Solidarity with Palestine
Sponsors: MIT Grads for Palestine, MIT Coalition for Palestine, MIT Faculty & Staff for Palestine
The Irish have arguably gone further than any other Western country in challenging the Israeli occupation and the genocide in Gaza. What are the origins of the pro-Palestine bent in Irish political culture? What are its shortcomings? What can we learn from the Irish experience that could be useful for peoples in solidarity with Palestine? (e.g. settler colonialism, allyship, occupation, resistance, transitional justice, etc) ? On the heels of St. Patrick's Day, join us for an evening to discuss the Irish-Palestine connection. Dinner provided.
