3/16 (in person, Turners Falls MA) 3pm - Screenings "Where Are You, Humanity?" & "The Lovelights: A Day for Fainting Fairies" + Discussion with Dr. Ahmed Abusrour, David Brule and Beverly Ketch

Western Mass Friends! Please join us for a cultural salon on Sunday, March 16th, 3pm at Great Falls Harvest (50 3rd St, Turners Falls, MA)

We will be premiering a new short film made by a 100% Palestinian film crew in Aida Camp, Palestine, entitled “Where Are You, Humanity?” It’s directed by Ahmed Abusrour, produced by Alrowwad Cultural and Arts Society, featuring vocalist Yara al Aseel from Palestine Music Space covering an original Saleh Al-Jafarawi song. As an exchange, we will also screen a portion from a locally-produced children’s musical TV episode, “The Lovelights: A Day for Fainting Fairies” by Beverly Ketch and Hannah Brookman.

The idea is to be inspired by Ahmed’s film, and to inspire him in return, as a cultural exchange. We will also have a talk with Dr. Abusrour from Alrowwad, David Brule of the Nolumbeka Project, and filmmaker, Beverly Ketch.
The event is raising funds to feed Aida Camp refugee families hot meals at Ramadan, so please do consider donating to the campaign even if you cannot join us for this very special cultural salon.
