IHRA Day of Action Legislative Visits
Our fight in protecting our first amendment rights to free speech is a priority we can not ignore! On March Monday, 17th we will take part in a Day of Action to respond to the dangerous bill that adopts the International Holocaust Remembrance Association’s (IHRA) definition of Antisemitism. The IHRA definition is harmful because it equates Anti-Zionism to Anti-Semitism. Our fight is not against Anti-Semitism, but with the censorship of Palestinian activism and those who express criticism of Israel. You can learn more about IHRA here.
Please review and sign-up to help lead the legislative visits that day. We need a strong showing to it make clear to lawmakers that we won't stand to have our rights stripped away from us by stopping A3558/S1292 from going to a vote in the NJ State Assembly.
We need district captains to help coordinate legislative visits locally. Your role is to build a team and go district offices to drop off information regarding our response to IHRA and our push for an alternative definition. These visits will take place between 11 am - 4 pm Monday, March 17th.
We will also hold a virtual training on Sunday, March 16th at 12:00 pm. (more info and link shared after registration for IHRA Day of Action)
