This week, Trump signed two new executive orders: one which would mandate that the Dept. of Justice provide legal assistance to cops facing criminal charges and transfer more military equipment to local police departments, and another which would escalate the war on immigrants and crack down on sanctuary cities.

At the same time, the administration is facing a number of set backs: After a flood of lawsuits and mass mobilizations, the Trump administration has reversed its revocation of student visas, and a judge today ordered the release of Columbia student activist Mohsen Mahdawi after weeks-long protests demanding his freedom.
