Last week, the true nature of Trump’s billionaire agenda was on full display as Republicans pushed forward a massive legislative package — cynically titled “One Big Beautiful Bill” — through the House.

This bill guts social services like SNAP, Medicaid, and federal worker pensions that working class people rely on to survive — all along with massive tax cuts for the rich and allocating an additional $150 billion to the Pentagon —  under the cloak of “fiscal responsibility.” We are not fooled. We know these attacks on our communities are part of a larger plan to transfer wealth from us to the billionaire class. Real fiscal responsibility would include diverting the billions dedicated to war and occupation abroad to instead address the extreme crises that workers, poor people, immigrants, and the rest of us are facing. 

Join us this upcoming week as we discuss the recent developments in our government and take action in the battle to put the power in the people’s hands and to live with dignity! We will also be organizing against greedy landlords by working to mobilize people for the rent guildelines board hearings to demand no rent hikes!
