2/28 (in person, Burlington VT) 6pm - Film Screening & Discussion @ the Univ of Vermont - "No Other Land"

FILM SCREENING & DISCUSSION: No Other Land
Friday, Feb. 27th 6:00 PM
UVM Billings-Ira Allen Lecture Hall, Univ of Vermont, Burlington

No Other Land follows the story of Palestinian activist Basel Adra as he fights against the Israeli occupation’s ongoing mass expulsion of his community in Masafer Yatta.

This documentary is one of the most awarded films of the year, yet no U.S. studios are distributing it. Since the film’s release, Basel Adra has continued to document increasing settler attacks and home demolitions in Masafer Yatta.

Join us for a screening of this important and de-facto censored documentary. There will be a discussion to follow the film.

We are also thrilled to announce that volunteers from the International Solidarity Movement will be speaking at the screening. These are ordinary Burlington residents who have travelled to occupied Palestine to provide a protective presence as international activists against home demolitions, settler attacks, and IOF violence in the West Bank. They have met with and stayed in the homes of many of the people featured in the documentary.

Finally, we will be tabling at the event and introducing ourselves. If you are looking to get involved with Students for Justice in Palestine, this screening will be a great opportunity to connect.
