Teach-In: Fascism 101

On November 5, Donald Trump was elected 47th president of the United States. Many scholars consider him a fascist.

Against this background, Berkshires Democratic Socialists of America will hold a teach-in on fascism for the community. All people, regardless of their political beliefs, are welcome.

The teach-in will be held online via Zoom on Sunday, February 23 between 11am and 1.

It will address the following main topics:

What is fascism?
How does it work?
Is Trump a fascist?
If so, what are the most effective ways to combat him?

The teach-in will be very interactive with plenty of time for comments, questions and general discussion.

Suggested reading: Jason Stanley’s How Fascism Works, which can easily be obtained at your local bookstore, library and online.

Fascism is the antithesis of democracy and on the rise in the United States and throughout the world.
