2/23 (In person Queens NY) 7pm - Film Screening "The Palestine Exception" + panel discussion with Director Jan Haakan and student activists

February 23, 7:00 PM EST - Stone Circle Theater, 59-14 70th Ave, Ridgewood, NY

Film Screening “The Palestine Exception” + panel with director Jan Haakan and student activists

Join Queens #ShutitDown4Palestine for a community screening of the film “The Palestine Exception”, which covers one of the largest anti-war movements in the US as students, faculty, and staff fight for the divestment of universities from the Zionist project. Starting in the 1970s, “The Palestine Exception” documents the attacks on the right to free speech and the right to assemble during the struggle for the liberation of Palestine on campuses.

We will screen the documentary film and then have a panel discussion with one of the film’s directors, Jan Haaken, and campus organizers who have experienced the victories, setbacks, and lessons from the Student Intifada.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Middle Eastern Children’s Fund (MECA) to fund Gaza’s rebuilding. It is our responsibility to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people for their ultimate sacrifice in the struggle for freedom and liberation.
