On Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, the Mystic Valley NAACP, The Black Response Cambridge, and The Reparations Interfaith Coalition will host a hybrid roundtable discussion titled "Decolonizing the History Curricula in Our Schools: A Crucial Step in Achieving Reparations."
The event is co-sponsored by the Cambridge NAACP and is part of the third annual Foundry Festival in East Cambridge. Here is the link to register and more details can be found in the attachments. Make sure to indicate if you'll need a zoom link or will attend in person.
This will be an extraordinary educational event with 17-year-old Jateja Spriggs, Chair of the Govenor''s Youth Council moderating three amazing experts on reparations -- UMass Boston Professors Jemadari Kamara and Lawrence Blum and Harvard Professor Donald Yacovone.
Teens who attend in person can earn volunteer hours (if they bring their paperwork).
