2/19 (Zoom) 8pm - Racism: why we can't have nice things," with author and movement leader, Dr. Robin DG Kelley (SURJ)

In just the first month in power, the Trump administration is wreaking havoc on the social safety net so many working people rely on, threatening Medicaid, federal housing, food stamps and more. How did we get to the point where millions of Americans– especially white Americans– support slashing public services that benefit nearly all of us?

One important answer: strategic racism aimed at white communities. And one important solution: we must continue to urgently organize white people around their shared interest in building a government that works for all of us.

Join us to go deeper tomorrow night at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET at our webinar “Racism: why we can’t have nice things,” with author and movement leader, Dr. Robin DG Kelley. We’ll hear about how a strategy of racism over decades got us to this point– and how we fight back.
